We're getting married!

And we hope you can join us to celebrate in Budapest on 8th June 2019.

Our Story

How it all began...

Once upon a time

Tom’s brother introduced them on Krisztina’s first night out in Manchester

August 2014

Tom came to visit Krisztina in Frankfurt for the first time but as much as he loved the German beer his language skills weren’t quite up to scratch

September 2014

After a great first holiday together, Tom made the move from Manchester to London and shortly afterwards Krisztina moved from Frankfurt to Manchester (finally in the same country at least!).

June 2015

Following many Friday night train trips up and down the country Krisztina decided to swap the champagne rain of Manchester for the big smoke.

July 2015

Krisztina and Tom moved into their first place together in Wimbledon.

February 2017

After exploring the world a bit together (and several months of saving), Tom decided to pop the question…

8th June 2019

And soon enough they will be getting married and would love for you to be there!

Useful Info

  • Getting there and away

London (LHR, LGW, STN, LTN), Manchester and Liverpool all fly direct to Budapest.

Taxi – you should only use a ‘Főtaxi’, on the rank outside the airport. The fare from Budapest airport to the city centre is around £20.

    Public transport - Budapest Airport

Otherwise, you have the option of flying into either Vienna or Bratislava and hiring a car or taking the train to Budapest.

  • Travel in the city

It is fairly easy to get around in Budapest by public transport. The subway network is made up of 4 metro lines (Red, Blue, Green and Yellow). Plus there are extensive tram and bus lines that will get you everywhere you want to go in and around Budapest. Tickets are mostly unavailable on the bus/train themselves; you have to buy them in advance, at the ticket office, metro stations or newspaper kiosks. Regular public transport is from 5 am until midnight, during the night there are several night buses throughout the city.

  • Where to stay

    Hotel Central Basilica

    Marriott Hotel, Budapest

    Hotel Moments, Budapest

    Guest Rest Studio Apartments

Apartment hire – there are some great options. Airbnb is very popular in Budapest.

There are many more accommodation options for all budgets. Booking.com is always useful but please do feel free to make use of our ‘concierge’ service…

  • Need some help?

If you need help with anything – flights, taxis, hotel recommendations, things to do and see (including other parts of Hungary or eastern Europe), restaurants, queries about the wedding day – then our ‘concierge’ is ready to help. Please just call/email Jelena direct with any queries:
